Kids Capoeira Classes
KIDS 3 TO 5 YEARS
Our Capoeira Seeds classes are designed with play completely in mind. Capoeira is intrinsically playful as play-based learning is key part of developing our young ones’ bodies and minds. The focus of the class is to build a love for movement, music, language and social interaction through games and stories. The stories told integrate movement skills, language skills, music skills and cultural appreciation in a fun, interactive and inclusive manner.
KIDS 6 TO 8 YEARS
Our Capoeira Sprouts classes are designed with the multiple intelligences in mind. Our students go beyond developing their physicality but also develop their cultural, linguistic and socio-emotional selves. Students will develop individual and sequence based skills based on a spiral curriculum. They will also develop their music and language through our instrumentation and singing practices. Our Sprouts classes foster strength, flexibility, balance and agility through our drills sequences and games.
KIDS 9 TO 11 YEARS
Our Capoeira Seedlings classes are designed with expression in mind. As Capoeira is intrinsically play based, the drills and games played in this class address more complex physio cognitive abilities than the Seeds or Sprouts class. The students will develop their individuality and their ability to express themselves through movement, music and art. The students at this age will be in the final years of primary school and in Capoeira they are given opportunities to be leaders and role models.
KIDS 12 TO 14 YEARS
Our Capoeira Saplings class is designed with mastery of one-self in mind. Young adolescents will encounter many challenges and transitions at this age. Our Saplings focuses on developing the major pillars of physical, social and emotional fitness. Students will experience drills and games that develop their strength, flexibility, balance, rhythm and music ability. Though musicality the students will learn/develop Brazilian Portuguese and give them a greater understanding and use of their senses through Capoeira.
